Install
In Kodi, enable installation from unknown sources if needed.
Use Install from zip file.
Select plugin.video.streammate.xtream-1.0.15.zip.
Open the add-on settings.
Enter your Xtream server URL, username and password.
Change the Settings PIN from the default 0000.
The server URL should usually look like http://host😛ort or https://host😛ort.
If you paste a URL ending in player_api.php, the add-on trims it automatically.
Compatibility
This package targets Kodi 19+ Python 3 builds across supported Kodi platforms.
Kodi 18 and older used Python 2, while Kodi 19+ uses Python 3, so one normal Kodi
zip cannot honestly support every Kodi generation at once.
Catch-up and timeshift
Catch-up and play-from-start require the provider to expose archive metadata such
as tv_archive / tv_archive_duration and to support the standard Xtream
/timeshift/username/password/duration/start/stream_id.ext URL format.
Full PVR-style pause/rewind timeshift is controlled by Kodi PVR clients and the
provider stream type. This add-on provides catch-up and play-from-start shortcuts
inside a video plug-in.
Refresh and speed
The add-on refreshes playlist and guide cache once per day by default when you
open it. The home screen also has a manual Refresh Playlist & Guide button.
Playlist data is cached separately from guide data so channel/category menus can
open faster. Live TV "Now" lookups are loaded in parallel and limited by the
Live TV current programme lookup limit setting to avoid making very large
provider accounts wait for every channel before Kodi can draw the list.
Content
No channels, movies, series, radio stations, service URLs or credentials are
included. Use only with services and content you are authorised to access.
